Mid Craft

Crafting is underway and I hope to have most of my first terrariums made by today.

So far I have spent most of my time experimenting with tiny toad stools.

Through much trial and error, and some funky looking mushrooms, I've finally got the technique down.

The terrarium making itself requires a lot of gluing, waiting around and getting my hand into tight spaces. Fortunately I have freaky spider hands.

I will be selling my first lot of terrariums on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pietjescupboard

Hydrangeas and Hearts

Hydrangeas and Hearts
I’m not much of a pro-valentines gal myself, but I used the occasion as an excuse to host one of my (now famous) pot luck dinners.
The evening consisted of pink lemonade (with a hint of vodka), delicious food and an amusing present game (with some saucy valentines gifts).
I decorated the living area with the help of Pop Roc Parties, and my guests couldn’t stop instagramming.
I’m looking forward to organising another.
Check out Pop Roc Parties for some adorable party supplies: http://www.poprocparties.co.nz/
P.s. Thank you Perlina Lau for the charming photographs

    Terrarium

    Terrarium

Over Christmas I had a craft spurt.

Here are a few of my creations.

I love terrariums, how they encapsulate a little world!

I remember making things like this when I was young. Putting rubber frogs, rocks and plants into jars.

I eventually want to make more and try my luck at a craft stall.

    Hello Stuff

    Hello

Pietje on the ship to New Zealand

    Hello.
Welcome to pietje’s cupboard (pronounced pete je).
My name is Katrina, and Pietje was my oma (grandmother).
Here is where I shall document all things Pietje; thrifting, crafting and collecting.
    Enjoy.
